House of Delegates
Part of being a professional is being a part of your professional organization. Your participation supports efforts of our state organization(CDHA) for the betterment of the dental hygiene profession. Each year, Orange County elects delegates to represent our component at the CDHA House of Delegates meeting whereby votes are cast on by-laws brought forth by members. OCDHS also sponsors students from Orange County DH programs.
Leadership
Leaders have the ability to impact all of those around them. As a dental hygiene professional, you already possess the tools to masterfully mentor colleagues. Take charge and further develop the leader in you! New grads are welcome and are encouraged to share their ideas and talents.
Continuing Education
We are committed to providing our members with the latest in
cutting edge education. Networking and collaboration are key
elements in planning our continuing education calendar. We
empower Orange County's finest dental hygienists through an emphasis on technology, therapeutic techniques, and best practices. OCDHS now offers Webinars that can be accessed by RDH all over California and other states.
Community Service
Orange County has a firm commitment to providing dental services to those in need. In April 2018 we sponsored two chairs at the CDA Cares Anaheim free clinic. Members volunteer at CDA Cares Anaheim, Care Harbor and participate in local Oral Cancer Walks for Awareness

Mentorship
OCDHS assists new grads with their transition from student life to that of a licensed Dental Hygiene Professional.
